Lawrence K. Snider American, 1938-
Lawrence K. Snider (born in Detroit, Michigan) photographs during vacations from his law practice in Chicago. His subjects are "disappearing cultures," primarily in Ireland, Peru, China, and Bhutan. He is also a prolific collector of photography, including the works of Henri Cartier-Bresson, Berenice Abbott, Paul Caponigro, Irving Penn, Edward Weston, and Josef Koudelka.
Snider holds degrees from the University of Michigan (B.A., 1960) and the University of Michigan Law School (J.D., 1963). He lives in Chicago. A.W.
